May 2011 Promo - www.DI.FM

Hey everyone, as promised, here is my May 2011 Promo which was aired on the Trance Channel on www.DI.FM today, May 31st 2011. As always, a handful of true to the genre tracks, including older material is what I stick to, and this mix is nothing short of that! Artists who are a mainstay in my collection, such as Paul Miller, Cid Inc., Guy J, Adam Nickey, Chris Cowie, and Perry O'Neil etc etc, continue to contribute and compose only the best in the genres of progressive house, progressive techno, progressive trance, and uplifting trance.

Started this journey off with a deep ambient tune by an artist who I have had my eye on for quite some time that goes by the name of 'Suffused'. A big shocker that he's on the label 'Mistiquemusic', as this label continues to put out excellent prog house. Guy J needs no introduction, and lets the music speak for itself with his prog techno tune Teva, fresh from the new '1000 Words' album on Bedrock. And Cid Inc. delivers again and again with yet another amazing remix for the masses at track 3. This is def on my top ten at the moment. As we get deeper and deeper, I decided to bring a bit of an older name back into the light. Perry O'Neil is a name that will go down in the trance Hall Of Fame. His track 'Superstition' from 2006 comes in as the turning point of the mix at track 5. An amazing prog trancer with a baseline that rips right through your chest. Continuing with older and classic tunes, Chris Cowie, who is one of the greatest trance and techno producers of all time in my opinion, was ahead of his time in 1999 with his remix of DeepSky's 'Stargazer' under his 'X-Cabs' alias. This classic beauty is just followed by another more recent classic from 2004, a lovely emo uplifter called 'Rush', which was a big year for Super8, with his signature trance sound all over the remix. And here is a name to continue to follow - 'Running Man'. Nothing but pure uplifting, melodic, drivin' sounds from this artist so def check out his tune 'Mekka' at track 12. And last but not least, if you didn't already hear track 8, then pay close attention - it's an original of my own that will be coming out later on in the year :)
