February 2011 Promo

The 2nd month of the year is here and we are back with a fresh new compilation of some of the best music in the world. Opening things up again is my prog MVP Cid Inc. with a Deep Funk remix of his tune 'Caustic'. Hypnotic Duo makes an excellent interpretation of 'Great Escapes', a tune that transferred very well onto the dancefloor at my last 2 gigs. As you know I like to throw in some older stuff in the mix, along with classics. The late great 'Perry O'Neil' (who now produces techno under the guise 'Patch Park') graces us with his golden touch with his remix of Hydroid's 'Greek Trick' from 2006. A shame he stopped making progressive and trance, although he does make some pretty bangin techno now!! We continue with classics, and this time I bring you back to 1996! A tune by one of trance's top 5 producers, (in my opinion) Chris Cowie under his alias 'DeNiro' hits us with 'Evolver', an energetic, uplifting, drivin trancer that renders the turning point of the mix!! After this its all peaktime heavy hitters from my usual favorites at the moment. Names like Sequentia, Mark Andrez, Ilya Soloviev, Oliver P., and Activa always deliver true to the genre, mainstay productions! Oh and cant forget 2004 Super8 & Tab (who will be playing in NY next week) with their BOMB 'Alba' which was hammered by every Trance DJ and their mother at the time.
